The NEW SPROG family of LCC devices

Controlling model railroad operation is increasingly using separate layout control strategies, and the NMRA LCC standard describes a layout control approach that is growing in popularity and capabilities.
The SPROG LCC family offers a new range of products to implement a complete layout control network with easy to use, plug and play modules.

See our overview of LCC and our modules in our LCC Introduction

All our LCC modules are fully supported by the popular JMRI software, available online.
For more information and background about the NMRA LCC standard, and the underlying OpenLCB development,
see The OpenLCB Group and NMRA LCC standards.

USB-LCC connector

USB-LCC

Use a USB-LCC to interface your LCC/OpenLCB network to a WIndows, Linux or MacOS computer running JMRI.
Galvanically isolated to protect your layout/computer, takes power from USB and requires power from the LCC network. We include the USB cable.
For more information see The USB-LCC User Guide.

Pi-LCC connector

Pi-LCC

Mounted directly on a Raspberry Pi computer, the Pi-LCC is a dedicated solution for Pi users.
Use a PI-LCC to interface your LCC/OpenLCB network to a Raspberry-Pi computer running JMRI.
Galvanically isolated to protect your R-Pi, takes power from the R-Pi and requires power from the LCC network.
For more information see The Pi-LCC User Guide.

PWR-LCC connector

PWR-LCC

The power LCC allows power to be supplied to an LCC network.
It is designed to be used with an external 12V 1 Amp PSU (Power Supply Unit).
and we include a suitable regulated 12V supply.
For more information see The Power-LCC User Guide.

Term-LCC connector

Term-LCC

The CAN bus of an LCC or OpenLCB network must be properly terminated for correct operation.
The TERM-LCC is a convenient way to provide the required termination by simply plugging one TERM-LCC into the spare RJ45 sockets of the nodes at the ends of the network.
Supplied in a pack of Two TERM-LCC.

IO-LCC Module

USB-LCC

A general-purpose 16 channel IO board. The main features of the IO-LCC are

  • Two I/O banks of eight channels for a total of sixteen channels
  • Support for servo outputs on bank A, (with additional external pin adaptor and power hardware)
  • Eight individual logic level I/O channels per bank
  • Jumper selectable pull-up/down for I/O channels
  • Flexible configuration through the CDI (Configuration Description Information)
    • Two status LEDs configurable through the CDI
    • Two pushbuttons configurable through the CDI
    • Can consume own generated events for event chaining (secondary events)
  • Dual RJ45 for network pass-through or terminator
  • Powered from the LCC network for simple I/O 2 18" IO cables included
For more information see The IO-LCC User Guide.

ServoIO-LCC module

USB-LCC

A Servo-focused 16 channel IO board. The main features of the SERVOIO-LCC are

  • Two I/O banks of eight channels for a total of sixteen channels
  • Eight servo outputs on bank A only, with three-pin headers for servo outputs
  • Event generation for servo start-, mid- and end-points
  • Servo positions saved between power cycles
  • Eight individual logic level I/O channels per bank
  • Optional high voltage (50 V max)/high current (500 mA max per channel) output per bank
  • Powered from the LCC network for simple I/O
  • Auxiliary power input for servos and high-power option
For more information see The ServioIO-LCC User Guide.

ButtonLED test board

USB-LCC

The ButtonLED is a small test board for our SPROG LCC I/O modules. It has 8 push buttons and 8 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) that are able to monitor and control the I/O channels. I/O channels can be configured as inputs, outputs or Button/LEDs.
For more information see The ButtonLED User Guide.
